Chesterton Network Wins Yass Prize
We’re delighted to share the news that the Chesterton Schools Network has received the nation’s top award for education innovation, the Yass Prize! In the words of the Yass Prize leadership:
The Chesterton Schools Network (CSN) is a rapidly expanding force in renewing Catholic education nationwide, empowering parents to open joyful, faithful, and affordable classical high schools in their own communities. Inspired by G.K. Chesterton’s vision of integrated faith and reason—and encouraged by the call of Pope Saint John Paul II to pursue truth, goodness, and beauty—CSN forms students in mind, character, and spirit through a content-rich, tech-free environment where every child is known and loved. Their schools cultivate deep thinking, strong moral foundations, and a genuine sense of wonder, helping students flourish academically and socially.
Now the fastest-growing network of Catholic classical high schools in America, CSN is at an inflection point, expanding access to transformational, spiritually-grounded education for the growing number of families seeking something better.
We plan to invest the $1 million award in specific projects to help each member school grow and flourish, and support new schools as we continue to bring this model to other families.. This includes:
A new learning management system to provide easy access to an improved and expanded set of curricula, tools, templates, training videos, and coaching resources aligned with our standards of excellence.
A national marketing campaign - including a new promotional video - with local implementation tactics to help drive awareness, consideration, and support from prospective families and donors.
Resources and support for Network schools to take advantage of school-choice funds in their state as well as the federal scholarship tax credit. This includes the ability of our schools’ donors to create and grow a scholarship fund that is intended to benefit each CSN school individually.
